For My Mom

What a world exists in that little 3 letter word. I fed off her, she listened and sang along with me and she cared for every bump along the way… I don’t think 3 million letters could ever express how much I love her. Thank you Christ for loving me so much, that you gave me my Mom!

Lift Your Worries Up to Him

I thank God that He is in cotroll. I sometimes forget that.

When I feel overwhelmed I read Philippians 4:4-7.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

I always feel a sence of peace knowing that I am in God’s hands and He will always take care of me.

In-n-Out

Thank Christ for In-n-Out. What a pleasant place to eat an American burger. Yummy secret sauce…

Are we there yet?

I believe God teaches patience. We ask for His will, yet we want things done in our timing.

The truth is that if we got everything we wanted, when we wanted it, then we would feel like it was us who is responsible for bringing the blessings about. The process of learning patience is merely a reminder that God is in control, which is something we all need.

I thank God for continually teaching me patience.

Peace of Mind

I Thank Christ for the peace that He alone can give.

I do not hear much said about the peace of mind and heart, although people strive for the word peace in their lives. We do hear in the secular media about peace among nations in troubled areas of the world. This is not peace, it is only absence of war. Jesus said “My peace I leave you, my peace I give you, not as the world gives..” Remember He is The Prince of (real) peace.
Do you have His peace when there is touble around? Do you have peace when you lay your head down to sleep? Do you have His peace when the bills are due and there is not enough to pay them? Do you have peace that you are His child and that He will see you through? If you answer yes, then you have His peace in your life.
“Just trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus…”
Thank you Christ, to me, you are the Prince of Peace.

Sunshine

that the sun is shining and the birds are singing.

(now if only the waves weren’t flat….)

The Sun

The Sun

I was just thinking how the sun is always on schedule. It never takes a day off. Actually, to be specific, the sun is always shining. It’s always there. Earth just naturally turns its back on the sun every day (at night).

This reminds me of my relationship with God. God is always there. He’s always shining. Even though I try to focus on Him all day, I’m human and I fail. I naturally turn my back to Him at some point every day, and focus on other things that are not as important.

I thank Christ for His grace, and I thank Him for being there for us no matter what.

Time to Slow Down

I thank Christ for slowing us down some times…, allowing for things to happen in order for us to stop and look to Him rather than ourselves.

I move too fast, don’t take intentional breaks, don’t make time for the people I care about, make work and money a priority over the things that are more important.

Matthew 6:33 says “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

I thank Christ for slowing me down recently, and allowing me to be reminded of His grace in my life.

In Everything, Prayer

Most people do not understand the meaning and the value of prayer, and many more do not know how to pray! I only want to address the first issue here. Prayer is a connection, a plug in to the Throne of Grace. In the human experience, the more children talk to their fathers the better and healthier the relationship becomes. It is that simple! But one would argue that God knows the condition of our hearts and our love for him, why do we have to repeat it. The answer is that it improves our relationship with Him. So it is for our benefit to learn and to pray often! And when the prayer is answered, we know exactly that God heard and answered our prayer and our faith will be strengthened. This is why Jesus said to pray without ceasing!!

Increase

I am thankful that even when i decrease (take steps backward), He sees fit to INCREASE His worth, His reknown, His praise, His glory, His mercy and grace — all in spite of me and what ‘effort’ i put forth. He is necessary in/for all things, above all things, before and behind all things, HALLELUJAH!! :)
