Thankful for Work

When my company was laying off people I prayed that if it came to me or my son, that it would be better if it were me beause he has a family of five. Unfortunately it was him and many others who found themselves without work. Well, after months of applying for jobs for which he was qualified, and jobs that required little (and absolutely no good news), he applied for and was hired full time to work with youth at a church nearby. This was absolutely “God drenched” in that it will feed him and and he will “feed” the students for which he is gifted. God IS able to do immeasureably more than we can imagine . . . WOW! AND, I am still employed.

Traveling Mercies…

Thank you Christ for giving my son and his wife the opportunity to travel tomorrow. Please Lord give them traveling mercies and bring them back safe and sound.

I would like to thank christ for this beautiful Thursday He has blessed me to be a part of. Thank you Lord Jesus for Thursday July 9, 2009 and everything composed in it.

Strength & Hope

I am thankful for the Spirit to be continually working in my heart and keeping that guiding light towards the right path. I’ve stumbled so many times, yet I am amazed (and sometimes surprised) at how predictable and consistent “life” really can be. I’ve grown up in church and religious activity my whole life, yet I didn’t fully understand or appreciate it until now. 29 years later, I am FINALLY getting it! I am very thankful for my husband and his abundance of support and care during my difficult times and for making marriage a priority. I am very thankful for the most wonderful son and what joy he brings to my life. I talk to my pets and am thankful they are always lending me smiles when I run out! I thank God for sending Jesus to die for me and in a little more time, I will renew my baptism vows and become reborn again. Thank you…

Just Give Thanks

God does not rquire much from us except to love him and acknowledge His blessed care. He loves and cares for each one of us equally, if we allow Him to guide and protect us, He will and does. I just want to say Thank you Christ!

Happiness is a Product of Choice

Are you happy right now? Are you angry? Are you discouraged?

You are the only person in your life that can decide what mood you’re in. You can’t control how others choose to feel, but you have control over your thoughts, and over your mood.  It is up to you to choose whether you’re going to have a positive outlook on life today, or not. It’s a choice, and it’s up to you to make it for yourself.

If you’re extremely unhappy or discouraged, and you don’t know where to find the strength to change your outlook on life, remember Philippians 4:11-13, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

Jeff Young sent out an email today with some great words:

Since happiness is found in the mind, and our own thoughts are the only thing we have complete control over, happiness or unhappiness is a product of choice… God is not out to get you, He is on your side. The world is not out to crush you, it is your oyster. Outside, it rains sometimes, it shines sometimes. Whatever it is doing, it does for everyone. On the inside, the sun is always shining. The question is whether or not you are going to pull the blinds.

Your Will

I would like to pray for your will Lord. We are waiting to find out about a house we put an offer on. If it is your will that we get this house please make it happen Lord. If not I know that you have the perfect house out there for us. I love You and trust You. Amen

New House
